The Ask
The client, an EdTech leader with a global client base, sought help in designing and developing a set of highly technical self-paced and instructor-led eLearning courses. These courses would enable professionals to bridge the knowledge gap and acquire in-demand skills for their career advancement. The courses were to be delivered in a stringent, non-negotiable schedule.
How we rose to the challenge
Designing and developing engaging eLearning courses is a challenge indeed, especially if they are hard (technical) skills.
Designing the courses
Each course was carefully crafted to suit the needs of the end users. Our team of experienced learning designers and writers with technical backgrounds collaborated with several subject matter experts in this regard. The course structure, delivery methods and instructional and assessment strategies were outlined. The final course structure was logical and easy to comprehend.
Developing the courses
The expert writers at Clearly Blue decided that weaving stories was the way to go, considering the technical complexity. The core writing team worked closely with subject matter experts to develop content. The outcome was the scripts that were a fine blend of core technical concepts and stories that enhanced the assimilation of otherwise dry content.
Our resident designers and visual storytellers then took up the mantle to tactfully translate these stories into content-rich courses that were comprehensible, engaging, compelling and visually appealing.

Along with the bite-sized videos suitable for self-paced learning, Clearly Blue also delivered 500+ hours of content-rich learning material for instructor-led courses. The delivered content was tailored for every course and was a combination of core concepts, activities, case studies, discussions, assessments and projects.
A staggering 400 videos spanning four courses, together with the 83-hours of instructor-led material, four course-end projects, and two Capstone projects were designed, developed and delivered in five months.
The stories, oh, sorry, the courses received accolades both from our customer and their clients. Clearly Blue’s storytelling prowess left the audience mesmerised yet another time!
